How do I switch between degrees and radians?

Use the Deg/Rad toggle at the top of the calculator. In Deg mode, trig functions treat inputs as degrees (e.g. sin(90) = 1). In Rad mode, inputs are radians (e.g. sin(π/2) = 1). The toggle also affects inverse trig results.

How does the memory function work?

M+ adds the current result to memory. M− subtracts it. MR (Memory Recall) inserts the stored memory value into the current expression. Memory persists until you close the page or clear it using M−.

What does the EXP button do?

EXP enters scientific notation. For example, to input 1.5 × 10³ (1500), type 1.5, press EXP, then type 3. The display shows 1.5E3 and the result evaluates to 1500.

How do I calculate the nth root of a number?

Accepted Answer

Use the y√x button. Enter the number (x), press y√x — the display shows '^(1/' — then type the root degree (y) and close with ). For example: 27 → y√x → 3 → ) → = gives the cube root of 27 = 3.

How does the Ans button work?

Accepted Answer

Ans inserts the last calculated result into the current expression. For example, if your last result was 25, pressing Ans then + 5 = gives 30. This lets you chain calculations without retyping previous results.
